These are two little hamlets that straddle the Herkimer-Oneida County line west of the Big Moose River bridge. They are mainly composed camps and some year round residents. McKeever is on the Moose River and Herkimer County side while Otter Lake is on the Oneida County side west of the line. Here the road bends north/south, so the route signs actually make sense here.
