I cover the Southern Adirondack Trail towns on NY 8, NY 28 & NY 169, as well as covering NY 8 from Speculator north-east, past Gore Mountain Ski Center, to the Adirondack Northway, I-87, in Chestertown, on my Adirondack Northway website.
Hikers decide to take on the Adirondack Trail for a variety of reasons. Some just enjoy hiking and the outdoors and want to tack it onto their list of experiences and others do it to get away from it all. While you're out on the trail the worries of life in the modern world melt away, you aren't thinking about bills, auto refinance options, or even yard work, just you and the great outdoors.
